Community Clean-Up Day in San Anselmo

Giving Back to the Town That Supports Us Every Day

This past Saturday, our teams from Kuro Nami and The Baan Thai Cuisine spent the morning together helping clean up areas around Downtown San Anselmo, including local streets, signage, parklets, bridges, and parking areas.

It was a simple effort, but one that carried real meaning for us.

San Anselmo is more than just where our restaurants are located.
It is a town with a strong sense of community, where people spend time outdoors, support local businesses, and share everyday moments. It’s a place shaped by nature, connection, and a pace of life that values presence over rush.

As a hospitality group rooted in this town, we believe our role extends beyond the walls of our restaurants. Being part of a community also means showing up for it — taking care of shared spaces and contributing in ways that go beyond service and dining.

Throughout the morning, our team members worked side by side to collect litter, tidy public areas, and help maintain the spaces that residents and visitors use every day. The clean-up also gave team members from both restaurants a chance to connect outside of their usual work routines. sharing conversations, laughter, and a sense of purpose beyond the kitchen and dining room.

At Morning Stone Group, we believe that meaningful hospitality starts with respect — for people, for place, and for community. Restaurants don’t exist in isolation. They are part of the neighborhoods they serve, shaped by the energy and support of the people around them.

This Community Clean-Up Day was a small way for us to give back to the town that supports us every day. It reflects how we think about hospitality, not just as service, but as care, responsibility, and long-term presence.

We are deeply grateful to every team member who volunteered their time and effort. Every contribution, no matter how small, made a difference. Most importantly, it reminded us why we do what we do: to build restaurants that belong, grow responsibly, and contribute positively to the communities we call home.
